RAL® to Pantone® Solid Coated Plus conversion

This list is meant to help you to find the closest match between the RAL® and Pantone® Solid Coated Plus color system. This match is based upon my measurements (LAB-values) and the closest match based upon Delta-E calculations.

Please be aware that 100% accuracy is not possible when it comes to match these two color systems. So use this list at your own risk and always perform a final check yourself. I can not be held responsible for any (financial) damage caused by using the results of this list. It's not an official reference!

How to use this list

Click in any of the top rows to change the sort order. This way you can easily check between Pantone® Solid Coated Plus and RAL® results. Because there are over 1300 Pantone® Solid Coated Plus colors and only about 200 RAL® colors, it is possible to have multiple RAL® matches. Use the sort option and pick the result with the smallest Delta-E value as this is the closest possible match.

- A Delta-E value of 0-2 can be considred a good match
- A Delta-E value of 2-5 can be considered a close match
- Delta-E values of 5 and higher should be considered a bad match
