Adobe LogoRe-arrange Color Libraries in InDesign

Publishing date: 18-06-2011

InDesign Color LibrariesSometimes in InDesign you need to load a new color library but when you open this list you will be presented with a whole bunch of them you never use or even never heard of before. Why not make these libraries disappear to the bottom of the list, so you will only see the ones you use most of the time like the Pantone Libraries?

For this you need to go to the folder InDesign/presets/Swatch Libraries and create a folder called something like Unused Libraries. The name is not really important, but I always try to use descriptive names for all my folders. Move all the ANPA Color, DIC Color, HKS and all the other Libraries that you never use into that folder. They will not be gone, so don't be scared to do this.

Now the next time you go to InDesign and are going to load a new color you will be presented with your most used Color Libraries at the top of that list.
